Halloween Spooky Doggy Treaties

These Spooky Halloween pumpkin spiced doggy treaties are a tasty and nutritional treat for you fur babies.

Did you know that not only is pumpkin tasty, but is a great for your dog's health too?

The benefits are :

Digestive health - Pumpkin is a great source of fibre and can help dogs with both constipation and diarrhea.. It can also aid with indigestion and stomach upsets.

Pumpkin is rich in vitamin A, beta carotene, potassium and iron and full of antioxidants, high in essential fatty acids, which aids in good overall health of skin

Ingredients you will need:

1 cup of cooked pureed pumpkin

1 cup wholegrain rolled oats

1 cup of good quality wholemeal flour

1 heaped tablespoon of homemade peanut butter (will post recipe soon)

a pinch of cinnamon

2 teaspoons of cold water

Method

pre heat oven at 190 degrees celsius

Place all ingredients in a food processor and mix until all ingredients are blended and turn into a dough. If too sticky add more flour or oats or if too dry add a bit more water

Tip the dough onto a clean work surface and roll out to an half inch thickness.

use your chosen cookie cutter ( I used some cheap Halloween ones from Lidl ) and cut out the dough.

Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20/25 minutes or until golden brown.
